By Tessai Tomioka, Lent by Kiyotarajin Seichoji Temple The poem's inscription reads, "Musashino no ohana ga suji ni kakeru wa tata hikisuteshi yumihari no tsuki" (The moon over the bows and arrows is the last of the flowers in Musashino). Tessai Tomioka Born in Kyoto from 1836 to 1924. He studied Japanese studies, Confucianism, and Buddhism, and while pursuing his studies, he also produced outstanding literati paintings, earning him the reputation as "the last of the literati. His most famous work is "Abeno Nakamaro Meishu Mangetsuzu" (Heavy Cultural Property: Abeno Nakamaro's Moon Watching in Meishu). |

Tessai Tomioka
Born in Kyoto from 1836 to 1924. He studied Japanese studies, Confucianism, and Buddhism, and while pursuing his studies, he also produced outstanding literati paintings, earning him the reputation as "the last of the literati.
