1970年京都市生まれ。日本でセールス&マーケティングに約10年間携わり、カナダに渡航。帰国後、チーフ留学カウンセラーとして4年間で約1,000名以上の留学やワーキングホリデーに関わる。
その後、アメリカの教育系NPOのアジア統括ディレクターとして約6年間、日本やASEANの教育機関および企業との連携によりグローバル人材育成に尽力、2,000名以上の留学・海外インターンシップに関わる。海外インターンシップを大学の単位認定科目としての導入に成功、東北復興プロジェクト、アジアの国際協力プログラム開発にも携わる。
現在は「留学ソムリエR?」として国際教育事業コンサルティングや留学に関する情報発信を広く行う。
2018年よりオーストラリアの州立カレッジの駐日代表も兼任。
全国の教育機関、留学イベントでの講演実績は多数。東洋経済オンライン・レギュラー執筆中。
