Born in Kyoto, Japan in 1970. After working in sales and marketing in Japan for about 10 years, he moved to Canada. After returning to Japan, he worked as a chief study abroad counselor for over 1,000 people in the past 4 years.

Later, as the Asia Director of an American educational non-profit organization, she worked with educational institutions and companies in Japan and ASEAN countries for 6 years to develop global human resources, and was involved in more than 2,000 study abroad* internships. He was also involved in the Tohoku reconstruction project and the development of international cooperation programs in Asia.

Currently, as a "Study Abroad Sommelier R?", he provides consulting services for international education projects and disseminates information on study abroad widely.

Since 2018, he also serves as the representative for Australian state colleges in Japan.

He has given numerous lectures at educational institutions and study abroad events across Japan. He is a regular writer for Toyo Keizai Online*.
