Description
This kyusu is for casual and easy brewing of matcha tea, which is said to be good for one's health. This kyusu was made by Junzo, a potter of Tokoname ware. [For those who think that matcha is something special and difficult to prepare, this kyusu is the perfect solution. With this Matcha kyusu, you can brew Matcha for several people at once and incorporate it into your daily life without worrying about the etiquette. Put in the matcha powder, pour in the hot water, and stir with a chasen (tea whisk) until frothy. When it is foamy, it is ready to drink! Since it is not meant to be drunk in large gulps, a cup that is shorter and a little smaller than a tall teacup is just right. In addition to matcha, it is also useful for cooling sencha a little or for brewing sencha once here to an even thickness. For example, when brewing tea for two people in a kyusu, the thickness of the first and second cups will inevitably not be uniform, but this kyusu makes it easy to serve the tea to guests at just the right thickness. If you make a strong cup of matcha and pour it into a glass with ice and milk, you can enjoy a matcha latte. Junzo molds each cup one by one with a potter's wheel. The kyusu has a warm white color with a kanna pattern on it, giving it a soft and gentle design. Please enjoy the taste of handmade kyusu. |
