Description
| A thimble is a sewing tool used to hold the head of the needle when sewing. The thimble is usually fitted over the middle finger of the hand holding the needle, and is used when sewing in such a way that the tip of the middle finger presses the head of the needle. The thimble is made by Japanese craftsmen to fit comfortably in the fingers. Leather thimbles have a double layer of leather at the tip of the needle for ease of use. |
