| These bowls are made using the traditional Japanese technique of lacquerware known as Negoro Lacquer. Layers of colored urushi lacquer are applied over a base of white urushi lacquer which is then brushed to reveal the white layers below, a technique that gives each piece its unique texture and depth. Perfect for your favorite soups, stews, miso soup, or Japanese simmered nimono dishes. |
