Churkanos ware accessory tray. Use it as a small container for accessories and other small objects.

*About Churkanos pottery

Churcanos, located in Piura Province in northern Peru, has been making pottery since the time of the Inca Empire and is said to be the best pottery town in South America.

Churcanas pottery is produced using a technique similar to wax-dyeing to create patterns. They are made using a unique technique in which liquid clay is applied, smoked with mango wood, and the clay is peeled off after the kiln is unloaded.

This technique died out with the fall of the Inca Empire, but was revived in the 1960s by descendants inspired by the discovery of Incan earthenware made with this technique.
