栗-chestnut-・・・材は重硬で弾力・反張力に富み、水気や湿気に強いため耐朽性が高い。 見た目はキメが細かく重厚な印象ですが木目がはっきりとした美しい仕上がりとなります。 経年変化も楽しめる木材。辺材は灰白色で芯材は黄褐色。
