| Kurume Kasuri Kasuri is a traditional cotton fabric representative of Japan. It is said that the name "kasuri" comes from the grainy appearance of the pattern during weaving. Kurume-gasuri is characterized by the wonderful complex pattern of warp and weft yarns dyed in a kukuri process, and by its texture that blends in with the wearer's skin every time it is worn. The complex and sophisticated traditional techniques of Kurume Kasuri have been designated an intangible cultural asset. By preserving this tradition and using the new kasuri with its originality in our hats, we would like more people to become familiar with Kurume kasuri. We have decorated casual hats with the traditional Kurume kasuri. The body band portion is Kurume-gasuri. The pattern of the obi differs slightly between black and navy.
