Description
[Made in Japan] Minoyaki Shofu Kiln, Yoji Sone, KANNA, two colors, cafe / coffee cup / mug / tableware, Scandinavian style [Product Description] This is a cup made by Yoji Sone of Shofugama, a Minoyaki potter and artist for the Nitten exhibition. The traditional jumping plane technique has been arranged in a modern style to create a stylish cup with a Scandinavian atmosphere. The large mouth of this mug makes it perfect for use as a soup cup. The hopping planing technique is a technique in which the raw material is placed on a wheel and a plane or spatula is applied to the spinning material, which causes the surface of the material to be shaved off in a flying pattern. Mr. Sone has used two or three colors instead of the conventional single color to create a design that is somehow reminiscent of a Northern European style, despite the fact that it is an ancient Japanese technique. |
