| [Made in Japan] Minoyaki, Shofu Kiln, Yoji Sone KANNA C/S 2-color coffee cup / saucer, Scandinavian style [Product Description] This is a cup and saucer produced by Yoji Sone of Shofugama, a Minoyaki potter and artist for the Nitten exhibition. The traditional jumping plane technique has been arranged in a modern style to create a stylish cup with a Scandinavian atmosphere. The cup has an easy-to-hold handle and can be fitted into a saucer, so it is stable without slipping. It is perfect for use in daily life as well as for serving guests. The hopping planing technique is a technique in which the raw material is placed on a wheel and a plane or spatula is applied to the spinning material. Mr. Sone has used two or three colors instead of the conventional single color to create a design that is somehow reminiscent of a Northern European style, despite the fact that it is an ancient Japanese technique. |
