In the Edo period (1603-1867), Japan became a peaceful society, a rarity in the world, and civilian culture flourished in splendor. The series, named Fuga (風雅) based on such Japanese history, has an elegant, understated, yet refined appearance that evokes a grand feast. The items include tokuri (sake cups) and gugumi-nomi (sake cups) for enjoying sake, an essential ingredient for Japanese cuisine, and small plates for enjoying seasonal dishes.
