Satin and chiffon are different thicknesses of fabric, so it takes some skill when rubbing the color into the fabric. In Yokohama scarves, the dye soaks into the reverse side of the scarf as well. The reverse side of the scarf is also soaked with dye so that it is indistinguishable from the front side when the scarf is turned inside out. Also, the edges are wrapped with a special process to make them soft and fluffy. |
