| Plug-in setup. Used in Europe in the early 9th century* as a weather forecasting tool during voyages [storm glass (weather gauge)]. It is said that the crystals in the liquid change according to the weather and temperature, allowing you to enjoy the unique transformation of the crystals. Storm glass, also known as [Fitzroy's weather gauge], is a glass container filled with several chemicals dissolved in alcohol. The relationship between weather conditions and crystallization inside the liquid is not scientifically understood and cannot be used to accurately predict the weather. The liquid and crystals change uniquely depending on changes in the surrounding weather environment, and should be enjoyed as an ornamental interior decoration. *About storm glass crystals *Storm Glass crystals will crystallize at room temperatures ranging from 5°C to 25°C (41°F to 104°F), although each product is different. At other room temperatures, the liquid will remain clear without crystallization. At the appropriate temperature range, crystallization will occur. *If you purchase your storm glass in hot weather, you may not see any crystals, but please place it on a flat surface, in the shade, and wait for the temperature* to be just right for your storm glass. *If you shake the unit to mix the liquid, it will be difficult for crystals to form. 9世紀初頭・ヨーロッパで航海時の気象予測ツールとして使われていた「ストームグラス（気象計）」
天気や気温などによって液体内の結晶の様子が変化すると言われており、結晶がユニークに変化する様子を楽しむことができます。
ストームグラスは複数の化学薬品をアルコールに溶かしガラス容器に詰めたもので、英国海軍のロバート・フィッツロイ提督がこの装置を詳細に研究したことから、別名「フィッツロイの気象計」とも呼ばれています。
気象状況と液体内部の結晶化の関連性については科学的には解明されておらず、正確な天気を予測する為にはお使い頂けません。
周りの気象環境の変化によって液体と結晶がユニークに変化しますので、観賞用のインテリアとしてお楽しみ下さい。
■ストームグラスの結晶について
※商品によって個体差はありますが、室温およそ5℃〜25℃の範囲で結晶化をお楽しみ頂けます。それ以外の室温のもとでは、結晶化はせずに、液体も透明のままになります。適切な温度帯になると結晶化するようになります。
※暑い季節にご購入頂いた際、結晶が見られずこともございますが、平らな場所、日陰に設置していただき、ストームグラスに丁度良い気温・天気になるのをお待ちください。
※本体を振り液体が混ざってしまうと結晶が発生しにくくなります。本体は揺らさずにお使い下さい。
※開梱してから周囲の環境になじむまでに1週間前後の時間が必要とされています。
