Description
| [This Hellenistic marble sculpture depicts the winged goddess of victory, Nike, descending from the sky into the bowels of a ship. It was discovered in 1863 on the island of Samothrace (now Samothrace Island) in the Aegean Sea. The head and arms are missing. It is in the collection of the Louvre Museum in France. |
