Edited by Tatsuya Higaki / Asako Miura, Hiroki Yamamori, Yayoi Saito, Sai Yamaguchi, Yuko Nosaka, ? Sachi Tani, Madoka Fukuoka, Daisuke Tsuji, Tatsuya Morita Daisuke, Atsuro Morita [Living the duality of "dwelling" and "inhabiting. Being a human being in this world necessarily presupposes "living/dwelling" in a certain place in relation to the environment. This is not only a necessary condition for the survival of human beings, who are biological beings with bodies, but also represents a culture*family form based on the environment and place, and also represents an age of scientific and technological evolution. Dwelling] not only in architecture and space, but also as a point of cohesion among environment, land, and human relationships. Without [dwell/habit], human beings would not be able to live. In this book, we will explore the concept of "dwelling/habitation" from various disciplines related to human science. First, it discusses the correlation between modern architectural styles and [dwelling], the possibility of not being limited to the dwelling as [architecture], and considers the lives and homes of the elderly with dementia. In addition, we will examine the phenomena of [dwelling], [inhabiting], and [inhabiting] as relationships in human society in which people live with others in various places, and consider violence in the home and [house] as a dwelling place, the meaning of [dwelling] in the case of immigrants, and housing as a place where life*performing activities*rituals are linked for artists. The exhibition will examine the meaning of "dwelling" from the case of immigrants, and the dwelling as a place where life, performance, and ritual are linked for artists. On the other hand, the Internet space or the virtual world has also become a place of "dwelling" and is gaining significance as a place of residence beyond schools and workplaces. It may be possible to reexamine the relationship between living on the Internet and reality. From a different perspective, we can reevaluate the global environment as a product of the activities of all living things, not just humans, and consider what it means to live on the earth and what nature is. This project is not limited to housing, architecture, and technology, but will explore the intersection of "living" in a building and "inhabiting" in a place, human relationships, and environment. |
