Written by Kunihiro Yuasa Kaitoku-do marks 140 years of history as an academic institution in Osaka. The school was temporarily closed during the upheaval from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji Restoration, and the Kaitoku-do Memorial Association was established in 1908 to honor the school, and the heavily built Kaitoku-do was reconstructed in 1916. This is a catalogue of materials commemorating the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Juken Kaitoku-do. Includes large photographs of recently discovered materials, as well as many recent editions that have been restored to make the illustrations clearer and clearer. Color plates, 36 pages. |
