Description
| This large stole with full-kari embroidery is made in the Punjab region of northern India and is called dupatta in the Punjab region. This is a relatively new type of embroidery, rather than the traditional fulkari embroidery that has been used for centuries. Traditional hulkari embroidery is satin embroidery with geometric patterns using silk threads, but this technique is characterized by its three-dimensional and colorful depiction of various motifs, such as flowers and paisleys. Dupatta: A traditional shawl for women, worn over the head and shoulders or covering the torso, it is now worn in various styles, such as draped over one shoulder or rolled up and draped over the other. |
