Description
| A native fruit representing Japan [mandarin oranges]. In recent years, many even tastier mandarin oranges have come into existence due to breeding improvements, and a variety of flavors can be enjoyed from fall to spring for about six months. Bamboo baskets gently wrap these oranges and make them look elegant. The bottom is made of flat bamboo, woven horizontally and vertically without gaps, in a sturdy Ajiro weave. The sides are made of thin, evenly split bamboo, rounded and carefully woven one by one into a delicate and graceful arrowroot weave. This is a traditional Shizuoka craft of Suruga Bamboo Sen-suji-zaiku, in which skilled craftsmen's techniques shine through. The texture of the bamboo and the beauty of its supple and smooth curves give a sense of serenity to daily life, and as it ages, the color and luster of the bamboo increases, making it an object to be loved and cherished. 近年は、品種改良によりさらに美味しいみかんが多く存在するようになり、秋から春までの約半年間、様々な味わいを楽しめるようになりました。
その「みかん」を優しく包みこみ、上品に見せるための竹籠。
底面は平たい竹を使い、縦横に隙間なく編んだ丈夫な網代編み。
側面は細く均一に割った竹を丸くし、一本一本丁寧に編んだ繊細で優美な矢来編み。
熟練の技が光る静岡の伝統工芸品「駿河竹千筋細工」です。
竹の持つ風合いやしなやかで滑らかな曲線美は、日常生活に穏やかさを与え、経年変化によって色、艶が増し、愛着あるものへと変化していきます。
