Description
| The M1918 Working Denim Pants, the prototype of the ARMY WW2 Denim Pants, are They were made of brown denim for low visibility in the battlefield and featured large patch pockets and cinch backs. Brown denim was discontinued in 1919 and replaced with blue denim. At the time, the U.S. military was undergoing drastic budget cuts due to disarmament, and updating of its clothing was neglected. Working pants remained largely unchanged in style after 1935, and the M40 working denim pants were adopted in 1940. In 1942, the green herringbone twill working pants were adopted and completely obsolete, but All inventory was issued and they were used for more than 20 years until the end of the war in various assignments except combat missions. |
