Description
[For trees of about 90-120 cm]. "Natural, gentle, straw ornaments." In Germany and other Scandinavian countries, ornaments have long been made from woven wheat straw, a remnant of harvest festivals, in the hope that the wheat would not bottom out during the long, harsh winter. These handmade ornaments are not glittery and colorful, but rather warm and natural. They are made by drying wheat straw harvested in the spring, arranging them in a special mold and hanging them on a thread. They are full of the fun and wisdom unique to cold countries. It is fun to taste the good old, Scandinavian Christmas. |
