| *This set of chopsticks and chopstick rest depicts Kumadori, a unique Kabuki makeup technique. *Kumadori is said to have originated when Ichikawa Danjuro I applied makeup using red and black ink on his first stage performance as the hero Sakata Kanpei, the son of Sakata Kintoki. *The chopsticks are [tonbo dama] made by hand by a lacquered chopstick craftsman with great care. Tombo-dama is Aoba's original technique, a rounded and fluffy shape design attached to the chopstick handles.
