淡く涼しげなソーダ色。花びらを集めたような、エレガントな断面図。ラリマーは、カリブ海に浮かぶ、火山島、ドミニカ共和国だけで採れる、とても希少で、特別な鉱石です。
「ラリマー」という名前は、現地の宝石商、ミカエル・メンデス氏の愛娘「ラリサ」と、スペイン語で「海」を意味する「マー」という単語を組み合わせて命名されました。
その名前にふさわしく、可憐ですがすがしい海色の石です。
チャロアイト、スギライトと並んで、「三大ヒーリングストーン」のひとつとして知られています。
