Description
*Hand-woven shawls from the village of Bujodi Beautiful hand-woven shawls from the village of Bujodi in the Kutch region of western India. Bhujodi village is located only 8 km from Bhuj, the largest city in the Kutch region. In the Kutch region, there is almost no rain throughout the year and the temperature varies greatly, making it difficult to grow crops. In Bujodi Village, the center of the Indian cotton and wool textile industry, beautiful shawls continue to be woven with delicate designs and skilled techniques. The process of weaving a shawl begins with the spinning of each strand of yarn, and it is an arduous journey until it takes shape; some shawls take from three months to a year to weave. The luxurious and elegant finish of these scarves is the result of time-consuming and careful weaving with the skill of a craftsman. *The Tirakita buying team actually visited Tirakita. The Tirakita Buying Team actually went to Bujodi village to report on the production process of shawls, which are made in the same way as in the past. Please see "Visit to Mukesh's Village in Bujodi, where hand-woven Katchi shawls are made" for more details. All shawls we are currently selling in Tirakita are made by Mukesh's family, who is written about in this blog. *High moisture retention merino wool The wool used is merino wool, which has high heat retention and elasticity. Merino wool is very delicate, and the intertwining of the wool fibers is said to have a good heat-retaining effect and moderate elasticity. It also has moderate moisture absorption properties, so it absorbs moisture well and does not feel damp even when sweating. For these reasons, it has also come in handy for outdoor brands in recent years, and is used for innerwear and socks, making it an indispensable natural material for fall and winter items. *It can be used as a shawl or a lap blanket. Shawls with beautiful colors and detailed embroidery. It can be worn over a simple outfit or used as a lap blanket in a room*. The design is so beautiful that you can enjoy it as a part of your interior design just by leaving it in your room. Please take good care of this carefully woven shawl. |
