Description
*Ganesha statue carved on a kumma nut. This is a rare piece of Ganesha carved by hand on kumma nuts, which are widely popular in India and Southeast Asia. The betel nut is widely enjoyed in South and Southeast Asia, and is called betel nut, betel nut, betel nut, betel nut, paan, and so on. When you visit India, you may see green leaves sold at food stalls. This is Indian paan, which is a delicacy made by coating betel nut leaves with lime dissolved in water, mixing it with thinly sliced dried betel nuts, and chewing the mixture in the mouth. When paan is put in the mouth, it has a unique bitter taste and gives a feeling of mild excitement* intoxication. Paan is now considered a luxury food favored by older Indians, but it was once widely enjoyed throughout India. Paan is an integral part of Indian life. And they have found divinity in it and treated it with great care. Ganesha carved into the kumma fruit is called Supari Ganesh and is highly prized. Use it for worship at your home altar or as a small gift. |
