Gotha embroidery is a type of Indian embroidery that originated in Rajasthan. Originally, real gold and silver threads were used for embroidery, which was very expensive. Today, polyester fiber is commonly used, painted in gold. While real metal tarnishes easily, it is now more durable and reasonable, as well as resistant to moisture. Motifs are usually inspired by natural objects, usually chintz patterns such as flowers and leaves, or auspicious patterns such as peacocks and elephants. Gotha-embroidered costumes are used for weddings and other occasions. *Indian Tyrolean tapes Indians use it by sewing it on the bottom part of the sari, the part that touches the ground, to make the sari look more beautiful so that the sari's saree will not be torn to shreds.
