| *Ceramic incense holder from Nepal This incense burner is made of fired earthenware with traditional coloring. Most incense holders are made of wood, but this incense holder is unusually made of ceramic. A Buddhist motif is placed in the center, as is typical of Nepal, creating a solemn atmosphere. The motif of this incense burner is mandala. It is a pictorial representation of the esoteric Buddhist view of the world. All of these incense holders are individually handmade by Nepalese people. The antique hand painted paint is very attractive. |

このお香立ては、土を焼き固めた陶器に、伝統的な彩色を施したお香立てです。お香立てといえば木製が多いのですが、このお香立ては珍しく陶器製です。ネパールらしく仏教をモチーフにしたデザインが中央に配置されており、厳かな雰囲気を醸し出しています。このお香立てのモチーフはマンダラです。密教の世界観を絵にして表現したものです。このお香たては全部一品一品がネパール人の手作り。アンティークな手塗りのペイントが魅力的です。
