■仏教国のベトナムから
仏教国のベトナムからやってきた木魚です。日本でも身近な楽器ですね。読経する際に、お経を唱えながらポクポクとリズムを取りながら鳴らしている、あの木魚です。
お寺の物はご存知の通り特大で、家に置くことはなかなかできませんが、こちらは扱いやすいお手軽サイズ。

木魚を叩いた時の、乾いた優しい音色は聞いていて癒やされます。
元々、木魚が誕生したころは、お経の間に眠らないよう、眠気覚ましとして叩き出したのが始まりだそうです。魚は目を閉じず眠らないとされていた事が、由来になっているのだとか。
