Description
The white, chunky shape is accented by the julienne grasses painted only on the base of the bowl. Each vessel is hand-painted. The artisanal technique has been cultivated over many years, and the brush strokes are done with a spontaneous touch. Because it is hand-painted, there may be slight differences in color and pattern. Hizen Yoshida-yaki is a type of pottery produced mainly in the Yoshida district of Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture. It has a tradition of over 400 years, similar to the ceramics* Arita-yaki of the neighboring town of Arita in Saga Prefecture. |
