Sokaiteki has developed a non-woven mask [Bioterra] using PLA (polylactic acid), a material that can be returned to the soil. [Bioterra masks are made of 100% PLA (polylactic acid), a non-genetically modified corn-derived material. Including the ear strings and packaging, the use of petroleum-derived plastics has been reduced by 90%. While ordinary non-woven masks require 164250 days (450 years) to decompose naturally, Bioterra's masks are made of PLA, which is derived from corn, and is not genetically modified, PLA (polylactic acid), the main material of [Bioterra], can be degraded in 180 days with proper treatment. In addition, we are particular about the feel of the product, not only to protect the environment, but also to protect people's lives.
