Pabst Blue Ribbon, commonly abbreviated as PBR, is an old-fashioned American lager beer founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1844. Originally called Best Select or Pabst Select, it became [Pabst Blue Ribbon] after the blue ribbon that was wrapped around the neck of the bottle between 1882 and 1916. There were periods of stagnation in the past, but sales began to recover around 2000. This seems to be mainly due to its popularity among fashion-conscious fashionistas in urban areas.
