| [New Zealand, the New World of Pinot Noir]]Pinot Noir is a grape variety that boasts a strong following among wine enthusiasts. While Burgundy is famous for its Pinot Noir wines, we focus on the high quality, elegant and concentrated Pinot Noir wines from one of New Zealand's representative wine grape varieties, the post-Burgundy Pinot Noir. The focus will be on Central*Otago, the largest Pinot Noir producer in the South Island, as well as North*Canterbury. Central*Otago is one of the southernmost wine regions in New Zealand and the southernmost in the world, consisting of seven sub-regions, including four around Lake Dunstan. The eight representative producers will be interviewed to explain the characteristics of their wines. North Canterbury, on the other hand, is a region that extends north of Christ Church and produces wines that are different from the Pinot Noir wines produced in Central Otago. [Chianti Classico: The Dawn of a New Era]]The Chianti Classico region, a prestigious wine region in Tuscany, Italy, became the talk of the town in July 2023 when it was officially recognized as a long-sought after UGA (additional geographical area). This UGA divides the Chianti Classico production area into 11 districts. It is expected that in the future, wines that clearly express the individuality of the terroir of each district will be produced, thereby further differentiating the region as a prestigious wine-growing area and further improving quality as well as increasing awareness among producers. We will interview producers in all 11 districts of Chianti* Classico, which has just been established, and look at the characteristics of each district. |

ワイン愛好家の中で根強い人気を誇る品種、ピノ・ノワール。ピノ・ノワール ワインの銘醸地として有名なのはフランス・ブルゴーニュですが、ポスト・ブルゴーニュともいうべき、ニュージーランドを代表するワイン用ブドウ品種の1つ、高品質かつエレガント、凝縮感あふれるピノ・ノワールのワインに焦点を当て、南島最大のピノ・ノワール産地であるセントラル・オタゴを中心に、ノース・カンタベリーも取り上げる。
セントラル・オタゴはニュージーランド最南端かつ世界最南端のワイン産地のひとつで、ダンスタン湖周辺の4つのサブリージョンを含む、7つのサブリージョンで構成されており、今回は代表的8生産者への取材を通し、テロワールの特性やセントラル・オタゴならではのピノ・ノワールのワインの特徴を解説する。
一方、ノース・カンタベリーはクライスト・チャーチを北上したところに広がる産地で、セントラル・オタゴで造られるピノ・ノワールとは、また趣が異なるワインが造られており、その中から4生産者のワインからセントラル・オタゴとの違いをみていく。

イタリア・トスカーナ州の銘醸ワイン産地、キアンティ・クラッシコ地区。2023年7月に、念願のUGA（追加地理地区）として正式に認められ、話題になった。このUGAでは、キアンティ・クラッシコの生産地を11の地区に分割。今後、各地区のテロワールの個性を明確に表現したワインが造られることで、より銘醸地としての差別化が図られ、また生産者の意識の高まりとともに、品質のさらなる向上が期待されます。制定間もないキアンティ・クラッシコにて全11地区を現地取材をし、各地区の生産者取材から、それぞれの特徴をみていく。
