常滑焼(とこなめやき)は、平安時代後期から1,000年の歴史を有し、日本六古窯のひとつに数えられる焼き物産地です。急須や食器などの日用品から陶管・タイル・衛生陶器などの建築資材まで幅広い製品がつくられています。昭和51年6月11日、国の「伝統的工芸品産業の振興に関する法律」に基づき伝統的工芸品として産地指定を受けました。
■急須全体が陶器で出来ています。お茶の旨みを抽出することの出来る陶製茶漉し(セラメッシュ)が特徴です。
■2人分の容量とお考え下さい(1人100mlとして)
■朱泥陶土で出来ており、1100度で本焼成を行った後800度で度炭化焼成を行い黒色に変化させます。素材に有害な物質は含まれていません。
■桜つゆ草の絵は手描きです。
■蓋と本体は一対にする為すり合わせ作業を行います。その為蓋と本体に研磨した痕があります。
