| These earrings are an unlikely pair of amber grape design earrings. Natural amber is heated and pressure-treated using a special herb-dyeing technique to produce a transparent green color. The amber is made in Lithuania and pierced in Japan. Amber is fossilized natural resin from trees that grew on the ground tens to hundreds of millions of years ago. Natural resin is usually associated with pine needles, but in fact there is a wide variety of trees, from hardwoods to softwoods, and different types of trees, some living and some extinct, and the color can be somewhat distinctive depending on the region of origin. |
