| Smoked Seto-yaki bonsai pots. [The color is produced in Mikawa, Aichi Prefecture, using the same process as that used to produce ibushi-style roof tiles. [Unlike painting, the pot's natural ventilation is not greatly impaired. [The pots themselves are unglazed wudo pots, which are highly air permeable and retain moisture, making them suitable for growing. [The pots have a simple, traditional shape that blends well with bonsai as well as cactus and succulent plantings. [The pot will gradually take on an old color after careful use.
