Description
| This is a story about a snow woman who used to be abundant in northern Japan. When a man and a snow woman were married, the snow woman froze the man and disappeared. The women of the village, angered that this would only result in a decrease in the number of men, light a fire and the snow woman, not to be outdone, freezes the men. One of the snow-girls, however, falls in love at first sight with a young man, and the two begin to live together under the cover of the snow. When the snow-women realize that one of their friends is missing, they come to ....... This is a creative folktale that differs from the conventional image of snow women. |
