Description
| One piece of fabric is dyed from both sides so that the front and back sides are impermeable. Double-sided dyeing is a particularly delicate process and requires highly skilled techniques. Cotton shantung is a plain-weave fabric with irregular knots in the horizontal direction using threads of different thicknesses in the warp.
