Description
| Together with a long-established mizuhiki workshop that has been in business for over 140 years, we have created a New Year's decoration entirely by hand using Kumamoto's native Igusa grass. We started this project to see if we could find other uses for Igusa, the demand for which is decreasing year by year for tatami mats. We hope you will enjoy the soft fragrance of Igusa. [Igusa] Igusa produced in Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture is used. Usually, tatami is dyed with mud to prevent discoloration, but we use undyed Igusa in consideration of allergic reactions. Approximately 20% of the aromatic component of Tatami mats is phytoncide. Phytoncide is the source of forest fragrance, and you can enjoy the feeling of forest bathing. [MIZUHIKI] *Ume Knot [This knot is often used as a wedding gift or to express sympathy for a loved one. This knot is often used for wedding gifts and sympathy. *Pine knot [This knot is associated with the wish for good health and longevity. 熊本県八代市で生産している井草を使用しています。通常畳は色の変色を防ぐために泥染めをしますが、アレルギーを引き起こす事を考慮し無染土の井草を使用しています。
畳の井草の芳香成分の約20％がフィトンチッドです。
フィトンチッドは森林の香りの源であり、森林浴気分が楽しめます。
