| Shinzi Katoh, a miscellaneous goods designer and picture book artist, has created a series of books about endangered animals. The postcards are made of banana paper. Endangered animals are in danger of extinction all over the world. The [Endangered Species] series aims to make more people aware of their existence, and to expand the circle of support* activities. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of this series will be donated to IUCN-J (International Union for Conservation of Nature - Japan), IUCN-J (International Union for Conservation of Nature, Japan) to support their conservation activities for endangered species. The postcards are made of banana paper with gentle colors and natural texture. Banana paper is fair trade paper made from [banana fibers] taken from banana stalks that are usually discarded in Zambia, Africa.
