| Shinzangama Yamatsu ice flower sencha cup, tsubaki Shinzangama Ice flower sencha cup - tsubaki The carved pattern of ice-white and glossy tea flowers. The petals of the camellia, a winter flower, are thinly carved in the shape of a camellia flower. This dainty cup has the motif of a tea flower (chaka*chabana). [What is chabana?] Sen no Rikyu said, Sen no Rikyu expressed it as "Flowers are like flowers in the field, Chabana" refers to the flowers that decorate the tea ceremony table in a modest way that allows one to feel the seasons. The vase used for arranging flowers is a simple vase for a single flower, or a wildflower growing in the mountains and fields.
