スペインはシューズの産地、南部のアリカンテ市に近いアルハマ・デ・ムルシアに1989年創業。
当初はフランスやイギリスの国内ブランドのOEMがメインだっが、技術力、デザイン力をつけたのち、5年で自社ブランドKOYUKを立ち上げる。
