| These metal lamps are made by Egyptian craftsmen, one by one, by pounding. Using a traditional technique that has been used since the Middle Ages, a single sheet of metal is gradually turned into a three-dimensional object by tapping it. A rough sketch is drawn on the shade, and holes are drilled and patterns are drawn one by one by hand. The charm of this unique handmade technique lies in the fact that the size and pattern differ slightly from one to the next. Without lights, the shiny metal and the three-dimensionality of the shades make them look like objects, but when the lights are turned on, soft light spills out from the holes in the patterns, creating a fantastic image. 中世から作られて来た伝統的な技法で、コツコツと叩きながら1枚の金属板を徐々に立体へ仕上げていきます。
シェードに下絵を描き、一つ一つ手作業で穴を開け、模様を描いていきます。
一つ一つ微妙にサイズが違ったり、模様が違うところが手作りならではの魅力です。
明かりをつけないと金属の光沢と立体感でオブジェのようなイメージですが、明かりをつけると穴を開けた模様からやわらかい光がこぼれ幻想的なイメージになります。
ボディーは光沢のあるシルバー色です。
