Description
| The simple floral pattern and gold accents give a lovely and elegant impression. The surface of the bowl has cracks in the glaze, called "kan-iri," and you can enjoy the naturally produced expression of the pottery. This small bowl is easy to use for yogurt, cereal, salad, etc. *This product has some netsuke (penetration). Nuki-iri is a thin pattern of cracks on the surface of pottery due to the difference in the expansion rate of the glaze and the base material during firing. The coloring of food and beverages may stain a piece with a "kan-iri" pattern after long use. To prevent this to a certain extent, soak the pot in rice brine before use. If stains do occur, they can be removed with bleach or baking soda. (Due to the nature of ceramics, stains may not be completely removed.) |
