Description
Dokla art created by the Gond tribe Animal Dokla art of a cow with its head growing out of a basket. It is recommended for display on a desk or in an entryway. Dokla art is a traditional brass craft made by the lost wax technique of the Kondh, an indigenous tribe in southeastern India. Originally, it was made with religious meanings, such as animals as clan symbols of blood relatives and animals as symbols of sacrificial culture. Today, various items are made as crafts*art. |
