Even now, more than half a century after her death, her designs are still fresh and attracting attention. We bring you the kawaii world of Richi Ueno in fabrics. [Profile]Richi Ueno (1893-1967) was a designer active in Vienna and Kyoto. Her married name was Felice Rix. Born in Vienna, she was influenced by Japanese culture and art at the Vienna School of Crafts. After working as a designer at the Wiener Werkstätte, she met and married the Japanese architect Isaburo Ueno. After moving to Kyoto, she continued to work as a designer between Vienna and Kyoto. Delicate and vivid, this broadcloth fabric has a geranium pattern. It can be used for a wide range of applications, from dresses, skirts, and other clothing to interior decorations, covers, personal effects, and accessories. |
