Curry is the most popular and most frequently eaten dish at home. This is the idea that led to the development of this dishware by Miyama. [Curry dish with leaves] Have you ever seen dishes served on a large leaf in a restaurant that offers Indian curry? It is said that in South India, there is a custom to eat daily dishes on banana leaves in addition to curry. We have tried to reproduce such an image with Minoyaki vessels as it is. It is a plate of a considerably large size among the vessels produced by myyama. Oribe glaze is applied to make it look like a leaf. I recommend putting a small cup on top and filling it with various kinds of curry! The motif is based on the leaves of a tree, which can be said to be the origin of the vessel, and the veins of the leaves are finished in flowing relief. 【葉っぱのカレー皿】
インドカレーを提供するレストランなどで、大きな葉っぱに盛り付けた料理などを見た事はありませんか?
南インドなどでは、カレーのほかに日々の料理をバナナリーフに盛り付けて食べる習慣があるんだそう。
そんなイメージを、そのまま美濃焼のうつわで再現してみました。
miyama.がつくるうつわの中でもかなり大きなサイズのプレートです。
葉っぱに見立てるために、織部釉を施しています。
上の小さなカップを乗せて、いろんな種類のカレーを入れるのもオススメ!
器の源流ともいえる木の葉をモチーフとし、その葉脈を流麗なレリーフで仕上げました。
