| From her Paris studio, Setsuko Oba traveled to neighboring countries and made watercolors and sketches of the landscapes and people she encountered there, which she completed and exhibited as oil paintings in Tokyo. This long-standing routine was ruined by the Corona disaster, and the painter experienced a great sense of loss, but she was overjoyed when she was able to step on Parisian soil again.
