Official catalog of the special exhibition [Leaping Makers: Art, Design, and Technology for the Future of Human Beings and Nature] (March 9-June 4, 2023) at the Kyocera Museum of Art, Kyoto. In today's world, where the nature of human society is undergoing major changes, such as increased awareness of the global environment and the evolution of technology, new perspectives are being sought, and the importance of what human beings can do is being reexamined. The exhibition, planned* and supervised by Noriko Kawakami (visiting professor at Musashino Art University), who has conducted research and contemplation centered on design, will feature 20 up-and-coming Japanese artists (individuals and teams) in the fields of art and design who are developing remarkable activities with flexible ideas, while being conscious of the history of humans and the earth.
