This gorgeous pendant necklace combines traditional Japanese techniques with natural stones.

The necklace is attached with a 45cm necklace of lapis lazuli 2mm cut. The top can be removed, so it can be combined with other necklaces you have.

Edo maki-e lacquer painting on the mysterious lapis lazuli adorns your chest gorgeously. The patterns are drawn by hand by maki-e craftsmen.

Maki-e is a traditional Japanese lacquer craft technique in which patterns are drawn with lacquer and metal powders such as gold and silver are fixed before they dry. Raden is a technique for decorating the inside of a shell by cutting out the iridescent pearl layer.

Thick lapis lazuli is decorated with Edo maki-e and raden (sea shell inlay). Raden (sea shell inlay) shows various colors depending on the angle of view.

Since this natural stone jewelry is made by our store, a regular member of the Japan Jewelry Association, it is carefully finished down to the smallest detail.

Wanococoro Wa no Kokoro 18k gold necklace K18

[About lapis lazuli]

Lapis Lazuli is the birthstone for December and is made up of several minerals.

The paralite (golden dots) and calcite (white spots) give it the appearance of the night sky and stars.

Lapis lazuli, whose Japanese name is lapis lazuli, has long been worshipped around the world as a sacred stone that ward off evil and as a place where gods dwell.

As a power stone, it is said to have a rectifying effect that regulates disturbed vibrations and a heart effect that enhances sensitivity and makes one more attractive as a human being.

The stone language of lapis is noble, sublime, and assurance of success.

[About Foil Maki-e]

Foil Maki-e is a work of art that combines traditional craftsmanship and modern processing technology.

Each piece is individually decorated on the surface of a natural stone by a foil craftsman using Kanazawa foils such as Western gold, silver, and aluminum foils.

By applying foil maki-e to natural stones, fantastic colors with a variety of sparkles are created.

The maki-e is finished by the craftsmen of [foil artisan] in Kanazawa, who received the foil processing for the item presented by the Prime Minister of Japan to the President of the United States.

Foil maki-e has a fantastic luster and color that cannot be achieved with natural stones alone.

The glossy and fantastic beauty is so bright that it seems to absorb you and makes you want to look at it for a long time.
