Description
A small bowl in traditional underglaze blue. The thickness of the bowl makes it hard to break and easy to use in daily life. Patterns: octopus arabesque, landscape, dark peony, eight-way chrysanthemum Sometsuke Sometsuke is a technique of painting pottery using a blue pigment called gosu. When the dyed piece is fired in a kiln, the gosu turns indigo blue, and the picture is burned into the vessel. Arita-yaki* Hasami-yaki has a long history of using this technique to create a variety of classic patterns. For example, octopus arabesque, checkered pattern, blue sea wave, cloisonne, lattice, tortoise shell, jimon, flower and bird pattern, Tatsuta River, weir, running water, etc. There are many more. The more you use them, the more you will love them. How about using them as daily-use vessels? |
