Description
| Table wipes available in the same fabric as the apron. This is an item that will make you feel good when used as a set. The moderately thick organic cotton fabric is easy to handle as a rag or cleaning cloth and dries easily. The wipes are sold separately so that they can be used as a replacement for those who use them frequently. Like the aprons, these are also sturdily tailored with thick stitched thread. It is a partner that can be used for daily life and work without hesitation. [Step Step Project] Many of the producers of sisam's partner, Creative Handicrafts, are women living in slums in India. At first, they learn the skills by sewing relatively simple items such as eco-bags and drawstring bags. As they gradually acquire skills from straight stitching to curved stitching, and from unlined to lined, we hope to create another step between accessories and clothes. This is one of the important reasons for the development of the aprons and table wipes. We named this project [Step Step Project] with the hope that people will steadily climb up the technical ladder step by step. [Materials that return to the soil]. Organic cotton fabric, cotton yarn, and all parts are natural materials. No microplastics are emitted when washing. We have taken this into consideration because it is a product that is washed frequently. [Three colors that fit in with everyday life]. Fukui Press is responsible for dyeing in Higashi-Osaka City, where there are many old factories. This apron is a combination of Indian and Japanese craftsmanship. The aprons were carefully shaped over time from hand to hand. *White is dye-free. The fabric is made of 100% organic cotton. A choice that protects not only the comfort of our skin, but also the global environment and the livelihood of its creators. sisamのパートナーであるCreative Handicraftsの生産者の多くは、インドのスラム街で暮らす女性たち。
最初はエコバッグや巾着など、比較的簡単な縫製から技術を学んでいきます。
直線縫いからカーブ縫いへ、裏地無しから裏地付きへと少しずつ技術習得をしていくなかで、小物と服の間に、もう一つステップを作ることができたら。
エプロンやこのテーブルワイプの開発には、そんな大切な理由も込められているのです。
一歩一歩、着実に技術の階段を登ってもらいたいという思いを込めて、「ステップステッププロジェクト」と名付けました。
